At a ceremony at the Cobb Energy Centre on Thursday, November 2, PRSA Georgia announced winners of its 2017 Phoenix Awards. With organizations across the state submitting hundreds of entries, competition for these distinguished public relations awards is fierce. Adrenaline submitted and won in both categories it entered in, taking home two Phoenix Awards of Excellence in Technical Writing for our Journal of Brand Strategy article, “Changing conversations: Brand identity as discourse” in Volume 5, Number published in July, 2016 and compelling thought leadership content through our Adrenaline Perspective blog.
Our first Phoenix Award of Excellence was in the technical writing category. In 2016, Adrenaline was approached by the Journal of Brand Strategy to submit an article highlighting our agency’s strategic perspective and innovative process to provide a unique voice in branding. Adrenaline effectively coalesced the agency’s thought leadership pieces, client pitch decks, strategic modules, creative work, and case studies into a compelling long-form piece worthy of publishing in the journal. Publishing in-depth, peer-reviewed articles and case studies, the Journal of Brand Strategy is the world's leading professional and research journal on all aspects of brands.
Our second Phoenix Award of Excellence was in the blog category. Adrenaline’s Perspective is used to illuminate and elevate the agency’s viewpoint and approach across five categories – branding, advertising, technology, environments, and culture. To further engage with its audience, the agency embarked on a blog campaign between June 1, 2016, and May 31, 2017, to serve as the foundation for the agency’s growing outreach and engagement. Adrenaline developed thought leadership content every week to grow its own channel. In one year, the agency increased its organic Google ranking by 32 positions and reached nearly 17% more visitors through content alone.
Adrenaline’s CXO Gina Bleedorn says, “We’re so honored to receive these Phoenix Awards of Excellence. This recognition really validates the work our agency is doing in branding and emphasizes our unique approach to elevate the practice of experience design. Our robust blog and appearance in the Journal of Brand Strategy helped us communicate our difference in the industry. We believe that people connect with brands across many different touchpoints and that to be effective, brands need a strategic approach to engaging with their audiences. These communication vehicles really helped us show how we develop and deliver a cohesive customer journey for brands.”
